City council unanimously accepted required changes from the California Coastal Commission to the city's coastal-zone STR ordinance: dropped the primary-residency requirement and raised the unhosted-rental cap from 60 to 120 nights per year. The revised ordinance must be resubmitted to the Coastal Commission by October 31, 2026 for final certification.
